This week I wanted to talk a little about infidelity and fidelity in marriage. What exactly is fidelity? To me fidelity means that someone is completely true to someone else, meaning they don't do anything that would violate that person's trust in them. I also think that fidelity has a lot to do with loyalty and faithfulness. Fidelity in marriage can be compared to High Fidelity music, High Fidelity music is that imperfect, warm, true experience. Even though the High Fidelity music might have imperfections, we would much rather listen to that than a digital recording because of the experience that is connected to it. A marriage is obviously not going to be perfect, but when both spouses do their part, they can get the warm and true experience that a marriage has to offer.
In order for a marriage to work both the individuals must be completely true to one another. There are a few ways that a spouse can act upon infidelity, one of those ways is physical. An individual might actively seek out to cheat on his/her spouse, could be virtual communication or through actual physical contact. An individual might also cheat on their spouse with no intention of doing so but feelings start to develop for someone else. Another way is spiritual infidelity, spiritual infidelity is when someone cheats on their spouse in their mind. Cheating on your spouse in your mind is still cheating God knows our intentions of our hearts and when we have sexual thoughts toward anyone else besides our spouse, we are acting upon infidelity.

Thanks for reading :)
